Luca Rossetto

I'm a computer scientist working on methods for the analysis, management and retrieval of multimedia data with an emphasis on knowledge-graph representations and the infrastructures required to scale them. I'm one of the developers of vitrivr, the open-source multimedia retrieval stack, and MeGraS, an open-source store for multimodal knowledge graphs. Currently, I am an Assistant Professor at Dublin City University's School of Computing and a funded investigator of the RINN AI Network. Before that, I worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Dynamic and Distributed Information Systems Group at the University of Zurich and before that, I was a member of the Databases and Information Systems Group at the University of Basel, where I also obtained my PhD.

When not doing research or tinkering with various technologies, I spend my time making games with Pixel with Hat.
